What this tool can't tell you.

Last updated 2026-08-13. Calibrating expectations before you read the numbers.

Not financial advice

RetireSafe is an analytical tool that produces probabilistic estimates of retirement outcomes. It is not financial advice, not investment advice, not a recommendation, and not a forecast. The output reflects the engine's model, calibrated against historical data. It does not reflect the actual future.

RetireSafe is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or financial planner in the United States or anywhere else, and is not authorized to provide investment advice under EU investment services law (MiFID II). It never recommends buying or selling any specific security, fund, or financial product, and using it does not create an advisory or fiduciary relationship. Every projection is hypothetical: it does not reflect actual investment results and it is not a guarantee of future outcomes.

Not a prediction

Simulation produces a spread of outcomes, not an answer. The bands describe what the engine thinks might happen across 10,000 futures under its assumptions. They do not describe what will happen on your actual timeline. The worst 5% of those futures is, by construction, possible. So is the best 5%. The future you get will be one path among many, and it won't necessarily land where the middle one did.

Calibration limits

The engine is calibrated against historical US, UK, and EU data. The future always departs from the past to some degree, and if it departs substantially, every simulator of this kind will be miscalibrated, including this one. We try to be honest about that; we cannot make it go away.

What we don't model

  • Tax law changes (the engine uses your current after-tax inputs).
  • Pension system insolvency or benefit cuts.
  • Personal events that affect your earning capacity beyond statistical job-loss.
  • Country-specific welfare programmes outside the country preset list.
  • Healthcare-system structural changes (we model cost inflation, not policy regime change).
  • Returns regimes that have never historically occurred.

Talk to a person

Use RetireSafe to build intuition, identify the inputs most likely to wreck your plan, and structure conversations with a licensed financial advisor. Do not use it as a substitute for one.
