03 · Why one-time, not subscription

You shouldn't have to renew a retirement plan.

Most personal-finance SaaS bills you every year because that's how SaaS works, not because the math changes that often. Our engine is a research artifact. We ship methodology improvements as code and you get them for free. The numbers change when the world changes; the price doesn't.

$65 covers the work and the hosting. It also means the tool pays for itself, rather than having to earn its keep by selling you something else. It's a one-time payment, not a trial, not a renewing licence.

If you outgrow the tool, that's the end of it. If we ship a major methodology revision, you get it at no extra cost. If you move countries or your family situation changes, you re-run with the new inputs. There's never a second invoice.
